iInteract started when I, Marshal, had been bored on a typical Sunday afternoon and wanted to get out there. Not knowing enough people to make up a team for my favourite sport, and not having enough peers in my immediate area to layback and watch the game with, I decided to come up with a way to better connect likeminded people. The most popular Social Networks were in existance but even then, most of the time, they serve to connect friends, even oceans apart, but not really connect a community. Other websites such as city guides somehow seemed to be intended for tourists, and I doubt that would have had much information on, say, a book club on your block or in your locality!. The less popular Social Networks tend to charge. I believed (and still believe), that this sort of "Community" network should be free, and have resources useful to all of us. So I created iInteract. It is free to all users and should stay for as long as possible. So that in future, when you have one of those Sunday's, you can just pop onto iInteract and see whats on!

Featured events are events that are available to greater areas, and hence viewable by users in a wider area. These may suit users who want to create "large" events such as carnivals and concerts. These events are charged a couple bucks, but are worth it if you want to attract large crowds.
